Can humans or indoor pets hear it?
Most adults will not. Human hearing tails off above roughly 16 kHz, so the higher modes at 30–45 kHz are inaudible to nearly everyone. The lower modes sit closer to the edge of hearing, and children or young adults standing near the unit may catch a faint high tone.
Ultrasonic sound does not travel through solid objects including large plants, walls or glass, so pets indoors are shielded from it. Cats and dogs do hear these frequencies, so point the unit away from anywhere a pet settles outdoors.
How long does it take to see results?
